The Greens recognise the essential role played by mature forest ecosystems in providing a home for wildlife, protecting water resources and storing carbon.

We are campaigning to end to the destruction of native forests and the export of woodchips and whole logs from native forests. The Greens are also working to ensure native forests are not used for the generation of electricity and other forms of industrial energy, such as wood pellets.
