Parliamentary Friends of Youth Mental Health
The Parliamentary Friends of Youth Mental Health was launched on February 25, 2014 in Parliament House, Canberra.

The event was attended by Members and Senators from a range of political parties, as well as many passionate youth mental health experts from some of Australia's most prominent mental health organisations.
The co-chairs of the group are Senator Penny Wright (Australian Greens), Cathy McGowan MP (Independent), Senator Louise Pratt (ALP) and Dan Tehan MP (Coalition).

The Parliamentary Friends of Youth Mental Health is apolitical and open to all Senators and Members.
The group will promote and improve youth mental health in the community by:
a. Promoting issues relating to youth mental health, to parliamentarians and their constituents.
b. Facilitating communication between young people engaged with mental health challenges, their families and carers, related service providers and parliamentarians.
c. Being a non-partisan forum where parliamentarians can access expert views and participate in constructive debate about youth mental health.
